Written in 1955, Trouble in Mind follows the rehearsal process of an anti-lynching play preparing for it's Broadway debut. When Wiletta Mayer, a Black actress and stage veteran, challenges the play's stereotypical portrayal of the Black characters, unsettling biases are unearthed. Empowering, satirical, and ahead of its time, Trouble in Mind is set to make CSP history with this not to be missed production.

We are compressing the whole process of writing, rehearsing, and performing 6 plays into 24 hours.
Starting at 7pm Friday March 5, six playwrights will select their casts and then work overnight to create six original 10-minute plays. By morning, the plays will be delivered to directors who will then begin rehearsals with their casts. At 8pm Saturday March 6, ready or not, the shows will go on (scripts-in-hand is fine).
